What to expect

After two unforgettable summers together, we’re beyond excited to invite you back to Sibbarp for round three.

South Ocean Festival 2025 is held on August 29 – 30 and offers two distinct experiences: a vibrant beach party on Friday and a full-fledged music festival on Saturday. It’s a two-day, multi-genre music festival held in Sibbarp, a scenic coastal area in Malmö, just steps from the beach and with the iconic Öresund Bridge as its backdrop.

Alongside the music, visitors can enjoy a wide selection of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a relaxed, vibrant atmosphere. With stunning seaside views and unforgettable sunset moments, South Ocean Festival delivers an experience that blends music, culture, and summer vibes in one unforgettable weekend.

friday

On Friday, August 29, we’re kicking off the weekend with something new: South Ocean Beach Party. Think golden hour, your favourite DJs, cold drinks in hand, and that bittersweet feeling of summer slowly slipping through your fingers. It’s our way of waving goodbye to the season, with bare feet in the grass and bass in the air.

PS: If you’ve got a Saturday festival ticket, Friday’s all yours too. Just want to swing by for the beach vibes? Friday-only tickets start at 150 SEK.

saturday

On Saturday, August 30, it’s all systems go. A full festival day with music that’ll move you; MØ, Oskar Linnros, and a whole lineup of brilliant artists ready to light up the South Ocean stage. We’ll be dancing, singing, maybe crying a little (in a good way), all with the sea breeze and the Øresund Bridge keeping us company.

Just 20 minutes by bike from central Malmö, our home in Sibbarp is waiting. Come feel the tide with us.

Festival area

Our beloved festival home, Sibbarp, sits right on the edge of Malmö, hugging the Öresund coastline with wide-open skies and front-row views of that iconic bridge stretching between Sweden and Denmark.

It’s the kind of place that feels like an escape without ever leaving the city. Sunsets melt into the sea, waves roll in with the rhythm of the music, and just across the water, Copenhagen glows on the horizon.

Only 20 minutes from Malmö’s city centre (yes, an easy bike ride), and just 25 minutes to Copenhagen Airport, Sibbarp is as easy to reach as it is hard to leave. Whether you’re flying in, catching a train, or rolling up on two wheels, you’ll find yourself exactly where you need to be.

With two stages, a packed lineup from day to night, and nature as our backdrop, this is where it all comes together: the music, the memories, the view. A little wild, a little windswept, and totally unforgettable.

Sibbarp is more than a festival spot. It’s a vibe.

Food & Drinks

We keep it simple: good food, made by people who actually care about what they’re serving.

Our food trucks are handpicked, not because they look good on a list, but because they make stuff that tastes great, whether that’s a fully loaded baked potato, something fried and crispy with too much sauce (in the best way), or a sweet fix you didn’t know you needed until now.

You can walk around with your beer, which is how it should be. No weird fences, no drink pens, just freedom to roam, sip, and snack.

Cocktails are available exclusively in the VIP area, where you’ll find a carefully curated bar with mixed drinks, chill seating, and a bit more breathing room. It’s a nice little upgrade if you’re after something beyond beer and wine, and a great place to recharge between sets.

How it started

South Ocean Festival was founded by grammy nominated artist and entrepreneur Simon Andersson. Originally from Malmö, he wanted to create an experience in his hometown inspired by other events and festivals he had participated in internationally. The first edition was held In 2023 and was largely considered a great success featuring an impressive line-up from around the world.

We aim to build an international festival that celebrates music, culture, and connectivity—always with the audience experience at heart. By inspiring joy, fostering community, and promoting sustainability, we contribute to a stronger, more vibrant region.

Our ambition is to lead the way in event excellence, constantly evolving and setting new standards. Open to all, the festival offers a unique platform for both public enjoyment and corporate engagement. We bring world-renowned artists together with emerging talent to create unforgettable moments in Malmö’s most inspiring and stunning setting.
