Swedish band The Plan, formed in Gothenburg in 2000 by singer-songwriter Theodor Jensen, quickly made their mark with a distinctive blend of melodic indie rock and poetic lyricism. Their self-titled debut album in 2001 became a critical and commercial success, featuring standout tracks like “Mon Amour” and “Let’s Leave,” and earning them spots at iconic venues such as CBGB in New York and the SXSW festival in Austin.
While early success was followed by lineup changes and a quieter period, Jensen remained the creative heart of the project. In 2018, The Plan returned with From Worlds Away, their first album in over a decade, reuniting Jensen with original member Mikael Furugärde. The release marked both a fresh start and a nostalgic return, showcasing their ability to evolve without losing the intimate, emotionally rich sound that first defined them. Now regarded as cult favorites in the Swedish indie scene, The Plan continues to inspire with their introspective songwriting and timeless sonic approach.
